About the role

Pure is looking for a Founding Growth hire to own how we make ads. You'll produce and edit hundreds of ad variants for Meta and TikTok, using AI video and traditional editing, and turn feedback around fast. You will be the core of an in-house, partly automated ad engine that replaces slow, expensive agencies.

This role combines video editor, ad producer, and social-native storyteller. We don't expect you to be equally deep in all three areas, but you should be strong in one and comfortable in the other two.

What you'll do

• Produce and edit ads full-time for Meta and TikTok, at the volume of hundreds of variants.

• Build and run an automated ad engine: templates, AI generation, and batch editing and export workflows that turn one concept into dozens of variants without adding headcount.

• Use AI video generation and traditional editing together to cut turnaround from days to hours.

• Study the Meta Ad Library and adapt winning formats such as celebrity-style and UGC-style ads.

• Turn first-draft feedback around quickly and keep improving each batch of ads.

• Work with the UGC and content lead and the GTM lead (influencers, outbound, partnerships) so paid ads and creator content reinforce each other.

• Stay deep in the app so every ad reflects how people actually use and talk about it.

What we're looking for

• Experience making ads, short-form video, or social content, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• A portfolio of ads or social videos you made yourself, showing range and speed.

• Strong editing skills in tools such as CapCut, Premiere, After Effects, or similar.

• Hands-on experience with AI video generation tools.

• High social media fluency: you know what looks native on Meta and TikTok.

• Obsessed with the app and its users.

• An individual contributor mindset: you want to do the work, not manage or align teams.

• Scrappy and fast, comfortable shipping a lot of work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to work in person at our NYC office.

Nice to have

• Experience bootstrapping an ecommerce business or running your own paid social.

• Experience writing scripts or working with UGC creators.

• Community or social account management experience.
