Junior PR Manager
- Full Time
About the role
AirHelp is a global travel tech company on a mission to make every journey smoother. We started by helping air passengers claim compensation for disrupted flights. Today we also help passengers via our travel companion app and travel protection and upgrade products.
Our PR team works to get AirHelp into tier 1 media, build our reputation, and make sure more passengers know their rights. We run consumer PR in 8 markets: the UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Brazil and Portugal. We’re also building a new B2B PR programme to ensure travel brands know we can help them too.
We’re looking for a Junior PR Manager to support the team day to day and get our B2B PR off the ground. If you’ve started your career in PR and want to build stories that land with journalists in several countries, we’d like to hear from you. You’ll learn from an experienced team, take on real responsibility early, and see your work in print.
Salary ranges:
Barcelona: €30,000 - €38,000 gross/year (employment contract)
Berlin: €38,000 - €46,000 gross/year (employment contract)
Please submit your CV in English.
What you’ll drive
- Support PR agency relationships including managing at least one agency by yourself.
- Support our new B2B PR activities in English-speaking markets, helping raise awareness of business solutions and building connections that lead to new partnerships.
- Write, edit and check press releases so our stories are clear, accurate and ready for the press.
- Briefing agencies and keeping campaigns on track and on message.
- Handle incoming media requests, set up interviews, and brief our spokespeople so they’re ready for every conversation.
- Grow thought leadership: brief spokespeople for industry events, connect our experts with journalists, and help them become trusted voices in trade media.
- Summarize clipping reports so the team and the wider business can see what’s working.
- Brainstorm and build campaigns with the team, from the first idea to launch.
What you’ll deliver in your first 12 months
- Build strong agency relationships, with clear briefs and regular reporting.
- A steady flow of press releases, media responses and spokesperson briefings delivered on time.
- A visible role in our first B2B PR results, such as coverage in trade media, placing our spokespeople on industry panels, and forming new business connections.
- At least one campaign you helped shape, from brainstorm to coverage.
Requirements
- You want to work in PR, and you have the experience to show it, with a previous PR role or internship.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, in writing and in conversation.
- You’re a good writer with a knack for turning information and complex topics into clear, engaging stories that catch journalists’ attention.
- You’re organized and proactive, and you can prioritize when several deadlines land at once.
- You’re fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Bonus: You have some experience with B2B PR, for example an internship at an agency or in-house.
