Description of Task to be Performed: AnaVation is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to join our high- performing team. This work is onsite in Quantico, VA. You’ll keep a complex hybrid environment running for a mission enterprise application that people depend on every day to do their jobs. That covers AWS commercial accounts, a GitLab CI/CD pipeline across dev, test, and prod, and on-prem hardware that you’ll maintain from the rack up. This is an on-site role, with hybrid options available once you’ve established yourself on the team.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain and improve AWS commercial infrastructure using infrastructure as code
  • Run and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab across dev, test, and prod environments
  • Keep multiple environments stable, consistent, and working as expected
  • Rack, swap, and maintain on-prem servers
  • Patch and update on-prem Debian-based Linux systems
  • Support monitoring and logging so issues are caught before users notice them

This position requires regular on-site presence in Quantico, VA. Applicants who do not currently reside within commuting distance to this location should describe how they would satisfy any onsite requirements.

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a CI polygraph.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud or relevant systems engineering
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, and willingness to complete a CI polygraph
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure with infrastructure as code
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
  • Hands-on experience maintaining physical servers
  • Experience administering and patching Debian-based Linux and Windows systems

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate or higher
