About the role

HealthFitness is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Front Desk Attendant to join our team at Advocate Good Samaritan H&W in Downers Grove, Illinois. This is a regular part-time position with a consistent schedule, not a seasonal role. As the face of the facility, you’ll create a welcoming first impression by greeting and checking in members, answering questions, and connecting them with programs and services that support their wellness journey.

Schedule: Saturdays 12:30pm - 7:30pm and possible Sundays

Greet, check-in and assist customers. Provides program information, services, membership and ensures the highest possible level of customer service and participant satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

• Greeting, checking-in and assisting customers, provide program information services and membership information. Be present at the front desk and/or on the fitness center floor. Efficiently responds to client and participant requests, comments or concerns and brings issues to timely and appropriate resolution.
• Be available for customer service needs. Assist with all member service desk administration and processes, answer phones, and process membership enrollments. Collects membership fees and performs related recordkeeping.
• Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants and enroll new participants.
• Laundry and locker rooms services.
• Secure all equipment, weights, and accessories in their designated positions. Inspect for any safety hazards.
• Maintains and updates participant and facility policies as appropriate. Educate participants on policies and procedures.
• Participate in internal programs and special events.
• Opening and/or closing duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous customer service experience a plus.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
• Flu vaccination required.

The compensation range for this role is $14.00 - $15.00 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
