General Labourer

Responsibilities

• Safely operate cranes and processing equipment while adhering to all safety requirements.
• Ensure processing equipment is operating within established specifications and performance standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of lifting equipment prior to startup and report any concerns.
• Complete all required production, inventory, and operational reports accurately and on time.
• Package and identify material according to customer and sales order requirements.
• Generate and apply finished goods tags to packaged products.
• Update inventory material locations and maintain inventory accuracy within the system (RTS).
• Identify and report non-conforming products to the Production Supervisor for disposition.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through good housekeeping practices.
• Participate in and help drive continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience with shear and cut-to length processing, material handling equipment and overhead crane operation is considered a strong asset.

The base pay for this position is $23.17/hour with a target variable pay of 4%
