Senior Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Aptiv, you will lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver product development projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives. You will oversee project execution from launch through delivery, managing timelines, budgets, quality, resources, and risks. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams, you will drive project performance and ensure compliance with Aptiv's Product Development Process (PDP). Your leadership will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions while maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving project profitability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of product development projects, ensuring achievement of cost, quality, timing, and delivery objectives.
• Develop and maintain overall project plans, business cases, risk management plans, and resource allocation strategies, ensuring alignment with Aptiv's Product Development Process (PDP).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, to drive project milestones and ensure successful product development.
• Monitor product quality performance, ensuring achievement of First Time Quality (FTQ) targets and Worldwide Formal Customer Complaints (WFCC) objectives.
• Manage project financial performance, including budget preparation, CAPEX planning, investment forecasts, expenditure tracking, and approval processes.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers and suppliers, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder alignment, and timely resolution of project-related issues.
• Conduct project reviews, monitor resource allocation and working hours through PlanView, and provide regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with PDP requirements, maintain accurate project documentation, review relevant test reports, and support internal and external audits.

Your Background

• Around 10 years or more of experience in project management, leading complex projects or coordinating large cross-functional teams in an international environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, including planning, milestones, budgets, risks, KPIs, and customer deliverables.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and influence decisions without direct hierarchical authority.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and synthesis skills, with the confidence to engage directly with customers, senior management, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Solid financial and business understanding, including budget management, cost monitoring, and project performance tracking.
• Highly autonomous, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and take ownership of projects from day one.
• Experience in the automotive industry, particularly ADAS or camera and radar systems, is an advantage but not mandatory. Candidates from other industrial, software, or business environments are also welcome.
