Per Diem Nurse Practitioner ( NP ) or Physician Assistant ( PA ) - Walk-In Clinic

Position Overview

Chenango Memorial Hospital, part of the United Health Services system, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Walk-In Clinic in Norwich, NY. This is a PRN/ Per Diem position ideal for an independent, confident provider with a strong background in urgent care, family practice, or emergency medicine.

You will join a team dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible care in a busy, community-focused clinic. The walk-in clinic sees a diverse range of non-emergency, acute conditions and offers an excellent work-life balance.

UHS Walk-In Norwich

Work Shift and Schedule:

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range:

$0.00 - $0.00 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Location: CMH Walk-In Clinic, Norwich, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Compensation: $77-$86/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care for walk-in patients of all ages with acute and episodic conditions.
• Collaborate with onsite staff and refer patients to appropriate specialists or emergency services as needed.
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the EPIC EMR.
• Monday through Friday hours and participation in Saturday rotation; clinic is closed Sundays.

Qualifications:

• Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in walk-in, urgent care, emergency, or family medicine required
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care
