About the role

Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.

Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.

Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.

If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

The Role:

Hadrian is building advanced systems to automate technical data understanding and accelerate precision manufacturing planning and execution. Our platform processes technical data packages, engineering drawings and specifications, and CAD models to turn them into structured data that Hadrian uses to generate processes and plan factories.

You will be building software that extracts, models, and enriches complex engineering data from a variety of 2D and 3D sources. Custom ML models, agents, and computational geometry will be used to automate the extraction, this role will own the full stack application orchestrating these tools, tightly controlling data change management, and providing great user experiences for reviewing and editing the data in 2D and 3D. This role will concentrate on frontend, but successful engineers should feel comfortable jumping into many parts of the stack as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build the applications engineers use to read drawings and models, including a high performance PDF viewer, annotation overlays, and 3D CAD views with PMI

  • Design review workflows where people confirm, correct, or reject what an agent proposed, with every edit recorded

  • Build agent driven interfaces that call the same tools a user does and show their answers in the drawing

  • Own performance on large documents and models - including rendering, streaming, caching, and keeping the UI responsive with thousands of entities on screen

  • Engage in product discovery alongside manufacturing engineers and operators - help define what needs to exist and what needs to be better

  • Work closely with our ML engineers on what the agents produce and how it reaches the user

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expert in TypeScript and React, with a deep understanding of state management, rendering, and the frontend ecosystem

  • AI native builder with strong product sense and user empathy

  • Experience building graphics heavy applications on Canvas, WebGL, three.js, or similar

  • Strong ability and desire to build a high quality codebase

  • Bias towards action and take pride in your work

  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high-stakes and quick iteration cycles

What sets you apart:

  • Have a strong sense of design and execute at a high level with or without design support

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software, 3D environments, or document and PDF rendering

  • Experience with WebAssembly, web workers, and other techniques for high performance web applications

  • Experience building interfaces for LLM agents, including chat, tool calls, and human review of model output

  • Comfortable jumping into other areas of our stack as needed: Node, Python, SQL

  • Previously worked in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing, or with engineering drawings and GD&T

  • You have a passion for manufacturing and believe that the industry needs better software
