About the role

Mujin is a global leader in industrial automation, redefining supply chain efficiency through MujinOS—our intelligent operating system for robotics. At our core is Machine Intelligence (MujinMI), a unique approach that leverages real-time digital twins and advanced perception, planning, and control algorithms to achieve fully autonomous operations.

Our flagship product, MujinController, empowers users with a highly configurable, no-code interface. By integrating cutting-edge motion planning and computer vision, it enables seamless automation for complex applications such as palletizing, picking, and truck unloading.

Headquartered in Japan with a growing presence in the US, China, and Europe, we invite you to join a dynamic environment where you can shape the future of automation.

About the Team

  • The Engineering Enablement team builds the internal platforms, services, and tools that help Mujin engineers develop, test, release, and support software effectively. The team works across a broad range of areas, including CI/CD, build systems, testing infrastructure, release workflows, observability, and internal developer tooling.
  • Team members bring different areas of expertise while contributing across the broader platform. You will work closely with experienced engineers in the team, initially contributing to areas such as CI/CD, release and support workflows, and internal developer tooling, with opportunities to expand into other Platform Engineering areas over time.

About the Position

  • This role is intended for a software engineer who already has hands-on experience building and maintaining software, services, or developer tooling and wants to develop deeper expertise in Platform Engineering and Developer Experience.
  • You will contribute to both existing tools and workflows and new development, including internal services, automation, CI/CD pipelines, release and support workflows, and developer-facing tools. Rather than focusing primarily on infrastructure operations, you will build software that improves how engineering teams work across Mujin.
  • You do not need to come from one specific Platform Engineering background. We value broad software engineering experience and practical experience with developer tooling, automation, CI/CD, or related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Build software that engineers rely on: Develop and improve internal tools and services that support engineers across Mujin.
  • Shape the developer experience: Work across CI/CD, build tooling, release workflows, documentation tooling, log collection, and internal support workflows.
  • Work on a broad range of engineering problems: Contribute to both new tools and existing systems, with opportunities to work across Rust, Go, and Python.
  • Build for modern development environments: Develop and improve tooling and services used in containerized environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  •

    Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and building software services, command-line tools, developer tools, or internal engineering systems
  • Professional programming experience with at least one general-purpose language such as Rust, Go, Python, C++, or a comparable language
  • Experience contributing to software across multiple technical areas or layers of a system
  • Understanding of software development workflows, including areas such as CI/CD, build systems, testing, deployment, or release processes
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and understand the needs of internal users
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in a Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, Engineering Enablement, or similar team
  • Experience building tools or services used by a large engineering organization
  • Experience with Rust, Go, or Python
  • Interview Process

  • Resume Screening
  • Take-home coding test
  • HR interview
  • Technical interview
  • Culture/Team fit interview
  • Attractives

  • Impact engineering at scale: Build tools and services used by engineering teams across Mujin.
  • Broaden your engineering experience: Work across a wide range of areas, from CI/CD and build tooling to release and support workflows.
  • Build, not just operate: This is a software engineering role where you will develop tools and services, rather than focusing primarily on infrastructure operations.
