Junior Data Specialist (Remote)
About the role
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Jr. Data Specialist is the accuracy backbone of every standard website build. You take scraped, client-provided, and MLS-fed content into our CMS and turn it into a complete, correct, and compliant site — ensuring the site foundation is technically sound before it reaches the design phase.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Content Accuracy & Verification
-
Quality Assurance: Review and validate all data for accuracy and completeness before submission or approval.
-
Data Accuracy: Verify names, titles, contact information, addresses, statistics, awards, and credentials against authoritative source materials before entering data.
-
Content Quality: Review all website content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting accuracy across agent profiles, neighborhood pages, blogs, developments, testimonials, and other client-facing content.
Site Data Population
-
Agent Profile Management: Populate and maintain agent profiles by accurately entering biographies, headshots, social media links and display order, email addresses, phone numbers, license numbers, and image alt text.
-
Property Management: Maintain accurate property listings, including MLS synchronization, manually uploaded images, placeholder logos, and functional property links, tours, and videos.
-
Neighborhood & Development Pages: Ensure neighborhood and development pages are complete and accurate, including descriptions, heading structure, hyperlinks, and map boundaries.
-
Content Management: Organize blogs and press content chronologically, remove duplicate testimonials, and keep client logos accurate and up to date.
Compliance & Standards
-
Compliance Requirements: Ensure website content complies with applicable state, MLS, and brokerage requirements by implementing required disclosures, licensing information, Realtor® trademark usage, and state-required license numbers.
-
Responsive QA: Verify that all detail pages are fully responsive, visually consistent, and easy to navigate across mobile and tablet devices.
Process & Communication
-
Task Management: Own the timely delivery of assigned work by meeting the team's handling-time expectations and maintaining accurate task statuses that reflect current project progress.
-
Self-QA Before Handoff: Complete the DS Self-QA standards before handing work to QA — every source-of-truth request confirmed, compliance checked, data and links verified. Work is not handed off until it is genuinely complete.
-
On-Time Ownership: Own the delivery timeline of your assigned tasks, and resolve QA passbacks promptly so the project keeps moving.
-
Reporting: Flag recurring source errors, missing documentation, or MLS/feed issues to your Team Lead or a Data Specialist/Senior Data Specialist.
-
Raise Risk Early: Communicate workload, dependency, or delivery risk before a deadline is missed — not after.
