Roofing Carpenter

Main duties

• Set out and construct timber roof structures.

• Install, repair and alter rafters, trusses, joists, purlins, roof decking and timber supports.

• Install battens, counter-battens, fascia boards and soffits.

• Carry out roof repairs and work from drawings and measurements.

• Measure, mark, cut and fix timber using hand and power tools.

• Work safely at height and coordinate with roofers, cladders and other trades.

• Maintain quality, housekeeping and safety standards

Requirements

• Conservation or refurbishment work and traditional roof construction.

• Older or high-quality architectural projects.

• Roof windows, dormers, fascia, soffit and timber detailing.

• Working from detailed drawings.

• Driving experience and a valid Philippine driving licenc
