About the role

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES) OF THE JOB:

  • Weigh powder and measure liquid volume (wt.) to homogeneously mix in a bowl per PC and AI 

    instructions.  Pour/scoop mixture into setter tool mold to achieve a smooth minimal air contoured setter.

  • Visually inspect tools for damage such as nicks/chips and report damage to supervision.

  • Clean and lubricate setter tool molds before each use.

  • Load and unload mullite setter beds.

  • Prepare setter liquid solution by measuring desired volume of each ingredient and thoroughly mix solution.

  • Place unfired setters on shelves.

EQUIPMENT USED IN JOB PERFORMANCE:

  • Scales

  • Mixers

  • Scrapers

  • Mold release agent

  • Forklift

  • Brushes

  • Step Ladder

  • Graduated cylinders

  • Grinding Stones

  • Required PPE for area

 

CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:  (FOR THIS JOB SPECIFICALLY)

  • Determine measurements and weights

  • Select and work with various small hand tools

  • Ability to record data

  • Interpret PC/Activity Instructions

  • Lift up to 25 lbs. frequently

JOB STANDARDS: (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area

  • Perform to productivity and quality standards

  • Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment
