Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences
Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 6 CT actuarial exams
7+ years’ experience, with good understanding of P&C reserving actuarial concepts
Strong analytical skills with previous experience of applying actuarial/statistical methodologies to business problems
Strong ability to identify and solve potential problems in their specialty and develop creative solutions
Understanding of the product lines
Complete understanding of the current situation and problem statement
Develop comprehensive understanding of the client operations, processes and business objectives and use this knowledge on assignments
Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions
Respond to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly
Support on any actuarial developments required from client side
Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in Excel, R/Python/SAS, SQL and MS-Access
Doing independent research, analyze, and present data as assigned
Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for UK markets
Critically examine and deep dive into model and identify possible areas of testing
