Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Project Manager to join our Technology team, reporting to the Supply Chain & Merchandising Portfolio Manager. This role is responsible for delivering projects within the Supply Chain and Merchandising Technology function across Europe, with a particular focus on transportation management modernisation initiatives in the Swedish market.

It is essential that you speak Fluent Swedish and English for this position.

This role is offering hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Hemel Hempstead, or Ashford, Kent office, and as such a good degree of self-motivation and flexibility is required.

Working closely with multiple business and technology workstreams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully, meeting agreed timelines, budgets and business objectives. The position requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with responsibility for engaging with a broad range of internal teams, third-party vendors and senior stakeholders across the organisation.

As a fluent English and Swedish speaker, you will collaborate closely with local Swedish resources, including Sysco colleagues and external partners, to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of project requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining project scope and ensuring that agreed objectives are achieved while adhering to established governance and project delivery methodologies. This includes the ongoing management of project documentation, RAID logs, reporting and governance artefacts, as well as ensuring projects transition successfully into business-as-usual operations.

The role sits at the heart of the project delivery lifecycle and is accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope and budget. You will be expected to drive stakeholder engagement, manage third-party system integrators, and ensure all projects are delivered in line with the European PMO delivery framework. You will also maintain an up-to-date understanding of business change opportunities and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement across the organisation.

This is a hybrid position that requires regular travel as business needs dictate. As such, you will need to be highly self-motivated, flexible and comfortable working across multiple locations and teams.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven end-to-end project management experience delivering complex technology projects in fast-paced, time-critical environments. Experience within demand planning, transportation, supply chain, logistics or vendor engagement solutions would be highly advantageous. You will have a strong understanding of business processes, stakeholder management and change management, with experience deploying technology solutions across multiple sites using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

You will possess excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups. A strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is essential.

Candidates should ideally be educated to a minimum degree level in a technology-related discipline and/or have proven project management experience within a relevant industry. Fluency in both English and Swedish is essential for this role.
