Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift - Protein Conversion
About the role
Position Summary:
- Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and compenents
- Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts
- Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments
- Interpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain, and/or repair machinery
- Respond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified
- Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM)
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency in regards to time as well as resources
- Minimum 1-2 Years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General mathematic ability required to perform job
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
- Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends: available for call in work.
- Able to lift in excess of 75 pounds.
- Capable of climbing ladders and working in high places and confined spaces.
- Able to work in extreme conditions.
- Able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Excellent work and attendance record.
- Selected candidate will be required to take the Maintenance Placement Exam

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
· Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
· Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
· 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
· Base Hourly range of $26.61 - $36.16 Depending on Maintenance Placement Testing Score
