Senior Consultant, Wind Development Support
About the role
- Own an annual sales target for wind development support services, digital solutions, and data products in Australia and APAC, and be accountable for pipeline, forecast, bookings, and revenue.
- Promote Windnavigator, Openwind, Windographer, Wind Maps, and Data Products to developers, utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), investors, consultants, and OEMs, running the full sales cycle from lead to contract close.
- Promote wind project development services – energy yield assessment (EYA), turbine technology assessment, power curve verification, and lifetime assessment – tailored to each customer’s project stage and decision needs.
- Manage key accounts: build senior-level relationships, plan account strategy, and identify repeat, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
- Conduct business development activities like Webinars, in person training, seminars to promote Wind development advisory and digital services.
- Generate new business through prospecting, demonstrations, industry events, and customer meetings; lead proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations with input from technical teams.
- Manage projects end to end as the customer’s single point of contact, covering planning, resourcing, scope, schedule, budget, risk, change control, and status reporting.
- Coordinate UL’s delivery and engineering specialists in Australia and globally, run kick-off and progress meetings, and review deliverables before release; you are not expected to perform every analysis yourself.
- Translate customer needs into technical briefs and technical findings into commercial implications; share customer insights with UL’s wind, engineering, and software teams; keep CRM and project records current.
