About the team

People Solutions Excellence exists to drive executional excellence in HR operations, services and transactions. We help improve how People Solutions operates by making processes simpler, services better, decisions more data-driven, and change more successful.

We're a global team of experts in process improvement, people experience, service excellence, data and analytics, reporting, and project delivery. Working closely with our HR Centres of Excellence and People Solutions teams, we solve problems, streamline ways of working, and drive continuous improvement.

Our role is to create consistent, scalable solutions that work globally while allowing for local needs where required. We bridge the gap between business requirements and operational delivery; helping People Solutions deliver better experiences, stronger outcomes, and lasting adoption of change.

About the role

The Global Recruitment Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and continuously improving Haleon’s global recruitment operations capability. You will manage the operating rhythm, standards, governance and controls that enable reliable, efficient and candidate-focused delivery across the end-to-end hiring lifecycle.

Partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, Global Process Owners, Digital & Technology, Quality & Effectiveness and PS regional teams, you will translate strategy and business need into clear operational plans, scalable ways of working and measurable service outcomes.

Success will be measured through service performance, process compliance, candidate and hiring leader experience, team capability and the sustainable value delivered through simplification, standardisation, automation and continuous improvement.

This position demands a strategic approach to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless co-ordination between various operational functions. You will possess strong operational skills to effectively manage a dispersed team, drive performance, and ensure global operations activity is appropriate, timely and focused on user experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and engage a high-performing TA coordination team with clear priorities, accountabilities and service standards – ensuring the team is set up to effectively support Talent Acquisition colleagues and hiring managers across the globe and in different time zones.
  • Own the global operations plan, capacity and day-to-day delivery across requisition administration, interview scheduling, checks, offers, pre-boarding and candidate queries.
  • Resolve complex issues and escalations quickly, addressing root causes and strengthening service resilience.
  • In partnership with the Global Head of People Solutions Excellence, Global Head of TA and Global Process Owners, set and embed global processes, controls, service measures and governance, with localisation only where required.
  • In partnership with Talent Acquisition and Global Process Owners, clarify roles, simplify and standardise recruitment processes, hand-offs and operational assets to enable joined-up delivery and a consistent experience.
  • Use technology, automation and AI to reduce effort, improve quality and expand self-service.
  • Responsible for the operational implementation and adoption of recruitment process, system and service changes.
  • In partnership with Talent Acquisition, Quality & Effectiveness and Data & Insights teams, use operational dashboards, routine reviews, data and customer insight to provide senior stakeholders with clear reporting on performance, priorities, risks and measure impacts.

About you

Technical and functional expertise:

  • Significant experience leading recruitment operations, talent acquisition coordination, HR shared services or a comparable global service function.
  • Proven success leading global or multi-region teams in a complex matrix organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, operational controls and candidate and hiring leader experience.
  • A track record of simplifying processes, improving service performance and delivering change at scale.
  • Experience using recruitment technology, workflow automation and operational data to improve outcomes. Workday and ServiceNow experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience managing risk, compliance, governance and third-party delivery, ideally across multiple markets.

Leadership and behavioural capabilities:

  • Demonstrable people leadership skills, with the ability to create clarity, direction and focus to build a high-performing, engaged and inclusive team.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing capabilities across global and cross-functional environments, ideally with the ability to also speak French, Spanish or Polish.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and align multiple stakeholders around shared outcomes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with curiosity, practical problem-solving skills and a focus on making services simpler and better.
