We are currently seeking an Operations Specialist to support operations in Oahu, Hawaii. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Top Secret clearance. The base salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually. The final offer will be based on relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
What You’ll Do
As an Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in 24/7 operations that serve U.S. government missions. This role falls under Global Security Operations Center Operator within our compensation framework. You will:
• Serve as a member of a 24/7 support team responsible for overseeing daily operations.
• Work within a team standing a rotating watch to ensure project deliverables.
• Monitor operations, including mission and support systems (generators, HVAC, etc.), and leverage technical tools and access to resolve issues that hinder the mission.
• Monitor IT mission equipment, including servers, clients, routers, switches, and telecommunications cabling.
• Provide basic troubleshooting; act as escalation manager liaison between operations and support elements for rapid restoration notification.
• Provide timely updates to customers, Senior Leadership, and the Program Manager for situational awareness documentation.
• Conduct pass-down briefings, maintain pass-down logs, and brief incoming watch teams; train and mentor newly assigned and junior watch standers.
• Prepare and administer operations procedures, including ongoing updates and changes.
• Conduct routine project status meetings with Government Project Managers and the company project team; identify challenges and risks and propose alternatives to improve processes.
• Facilitate or participate in document deliverables, including SOPs, System Assessments, and Project Status Reports, prior to Government submission.
• Instruct craft personnel and technical staff in systems operations, maintenance methods, safe work practices, and procedures; administer apprenticeship programs.
• Ensure project deadlines are met and tasks remain within project scope.
• Assist in operations and maintenance of an organization, branch, plant, or department through complex technical work and directing others as assigned.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and video equipment in the global security operations center (GSOC).
• Coordinate with other business units during emergencies and crisis response and communicate business information.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to security equipment and access-control systems to ensure proper operation.
• Complete incident reports and work orders and assist with investigations.

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Minimum high school education and four (4) years of experience working in a team environment.
Clearance:
• Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
• Ability to act as escalation manager liaison between operations and support elements for rapid restoration notification.
• Initiative and ability to work in a team while keeping Cambridge management informed of shifting priorities and challenges.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Willingness and ability to work shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and senior Navy leaders and foster open team communication.
• Ability to work effectively with civilians, military personnel, and contractors.
• Ability to handle multiple issues and assignments concurrently with judgment and initiative.
• Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope following detailed instructions.
• Proficiency with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
Travel Requirements
• Some overnight stays possible.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer work.
• Occasional extended work hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
• Work is performed in a secure facility where personal electronic devices (including Bluetooth- or Wi-Fi-enabled devices) may be restricted.
• Physical activities may include bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials, consistent with established one-person lift guidelines.
• Use of tools and equipment as required for the role.
• Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Interaction with others in dynamic environments, including situations requiring problem-solving and conflict resolution.
