Lead Product Engineer
About the role
AiStudio is an AI consultancy that partners with private equity firms by embedding engineers directly inside their portfolio companies. We don’t sell software from the sidelines—instead, we deploy our engineers into businesses to build and launch AI solutions that drive core metrics: cost savings, automation, and revenue. Our projects span from workflow automations powering firm-wide operations to AI-enhanced due diligence systems.
The Role: Lead Product Engineer
As a Lead Product Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical owner for high-impact client engagements within dynamic product startups. You’ll scope what gets built, own architecture decisions, ship the product, and be the point person when executive stakeholders need results. You’ll also lead and mentor the engineering team, maintaining high technical standards from inception to delivery.
What You’ll Do
Lead client engagements end-to-end, from initial scoping to delivering systems that are integral to business operations
Make key architecture and build decisions—including identifying what shouldn’t be built
Translate business objectives into technical requirements, working closely with senior stakeholders at PE firms and portfolio companies
Mentor and set standards for the engineering team working under you
Identify and develop further opportunities within current accounts once embedded
What We Look For
3–7 years of engineering experience, with a background working at a product startup and leading engineering teams
Significant experience as either a Lead Product Engineer, with direct ownership over shipping production systems
Expertise in architecture decisions for scalable, maintainable products
Strong leadership abilities; you’re comfortable mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions
Confident communicator: you can engage effectively with executives and translate technical decisions into business impact
Proven judgment in prioritizing development—knowing what’s worth building and what isn’t
If you are excited to lead high-stakes projects at the intersection of engineering and business impact, we’d love to hear from you.
