Summary:

The Ortho Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. 

 

Pay Range: $25.00 to  $30.00  /hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Assists the doctor in Ortho procedures 

• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays 
• Prophy teeth 
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene 
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor 
• Sterilizes instruments 

• Setup and prepares rooms for Ortho treatment 
• Take IO's 
• Charting 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:  

• Certification from a dental college OR 6+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred 
• Orthodontic assistina experience 
• BIlingual in Spanish,a plus

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  

• California Registered Dental Assistant License or (OA)
• CPR/BLS certification, X-Ray Certification 

• Coronal Polish Certification required  
• Current BLS certification
